I purchased these speakers for an amazing price on Amazon. They are being used as rear surround speakers in a 5.1 system. I painted them to match my living room and they blend in well. The grills are a little tricky to paint. It would be ideal to spray them with multiple light coats of paint, although I do not have a sprayer so I was very careful with a brush. I used a piece of cardboard to wipe off most of the paint on the brush before actually touching the grills with the brush. Just take your time and they will turn out nice. Now the important stuff - the speakers sound great! The room is now filled with sound when watching movies and listening to music. I think I may purchase another pair for my dinning room to be used as a second zone off my receiver. The price can't be beat and the shipping was free and extremely fast. I considered Klipsch (my front speakers and subwoofer is Klipsch), but honestly would not be able to tell a difference - and I'm very neurotic about having the best stuff. I highly recommend them!!

Ran the wires through the attic. Made the cut outs. Connect the speakers and attach to the wall. Couldn't be easier. These speakers make good sound. More bass than I thought they would provide. They do clip a bit as volume goes up. They are used for ambient sound in entertaining areas and they are perfect for that.

denon audyssey calibrated each so well. Makes the room look clean and the sound clear and crisp.
no regrets. The new HD DTS and SACD audio is like descovering stereo again

Polk's speaker lineup on in wall/ in ceiling speakers are phenomonal. These speakers are so acoustically rich that they sound good with everything from rock to jazz and even better in home theater. I haven't had a client disappointed with the sound quality yet and the price is definitely fits any budget. Placement is key to the overall performance of any in wall speaker(especially for surround sound setups) so if you haven't ever installed a pair read recommendations in the owners manual for proper placements areas.Pivotable tweeters allows you to directionalize your sound for even better performance. Very sleek and sit flush with wall and they come with paintable grills and inserts to protect speaker during painting process(hint if you have a way to paint them by using a sprayer they turn out looking the best if not use a foam paint brush on the bezel to avoid paint lines and get a smooth look) if your picky you will probably want to take a toothpick to the tiny holes on the grill to give them a more finished look." don't forget to take the paint mask back out when done painting". Incredible power handling and bass response for an in wall speaker at this price. When using any in wall speaker for music and theater setups invest in a good subwoofer with a good power output. Polk's DSW MicroPro 2000 8" 1200 watt sub Polk Audio DSW MicroPRO 2000 Subwoofer Speaker (Single, Black) is a good choice.Installation is a breeze but when using a drill for the set screws go slow as the dog-ears that pull speaker flush to the wall will break if to much tension is put on them. Start with the 2 middle screws first then to the corners and if you have to remove speaker from wall for any reason back out the screws slowly and not all the way or you risk that piece falling off in the wall. Test for studs before cutting your holes and watch out for pipes and or electrical lines too. Bang for the buck on the best in wall speakers out there for this price!

These speakers sound great! Easy installation and it looks fantastic! Paired with the RC60i in-ceiling speakers, Polk 10 inch subwoofer and a CS20 center channel. Sound is amazing. Sounds like I'm wearing headphones!
